Manually change order of tracks in an album

Is there a way to change the order of songs in an album with a simple click and drag?

No, you can only drag-and-drop to change the order of songs in a Playlist or the Queue. The order for other categories is defined by tapping List Options from the song list.

If you want to make a customised order for a list of songs, use folder/filename sorting and have an index number at the beginning - a common one would be to use the first two digits of the filename to define the Track Number, but you could do it any way you want (I put the year at the start of album folder names for example).

To place all of the songs in an album into a Playlist (so you can adjust their order at will) long-press on the Album title and tap '+Playlist'.
