Songs in Playlist and other settings deleted

I have added my Fav songs to my newly created Playlists but none of the songs are not visible in my Playlist. Wait even Playlist also folder also not there. And also I had rated some songs but those songs are not visible in top rated section.

Don't know what is the issue but now I can't sit and add all the songs to Playlist again  but however I would like to know what is the issue that led to non visible of songs in the playlists.

Thanks in advance

Are you saying the newly created playlist is not showing within the Playlists library category? Or that you can't even see the overall Playlists category from the main Library view?

Did you create these playlists within Poweramp itself, or copy them in from another device - for example as .M3U files?

Remember that playlists are only a list of pointers to audio files, if you later move the files or rename folders, Poweramp will no longer be able to find them.

I didn't create Playlist recently. Whatever the Playlist I created before is not visible now.

I created those Playlist within Poweramp app itself.

No I didn't move the files to anywhere. Its in the same place as before.

So have all the playlists that you created internally in PA vanished, or just one? Sounds like some sort of corruption in the database, or a reinstall / clear app data, has occurred in this case. I don't suppose you ever backed up the playlist(s) using the Playlist > Export feature did you? That's the age-old problem with backups though, you need to done them before you find you want them.

I checked to see what normally happens if all of the song files in an internally-created playlist vanish from storage (e.g. files deleted, renamed or moved to a different folder) and the playlist itself should still remain visible in the Library>Playlists view. All of its contained songs will be shown as 'phantom' entries - just the original filename, with no Title/Artist/etc data, as the links to the audio files no longer connect to anything. If the files are later returned, the original playlist info will return too.

If the root path to SD Card storage gets changed - Android can do this in rare circumstances, which can mess up any absolute path references - the 'Rescan/Resolve Playlists' option in the Playlist menu should be able to recover playlist contents from their 'new' locations; it tries to match them using the filename and first containing folder level instead of the full path.

All the Playlist got vanished. Not only Playlist Infact the top rated songs, recently played songs, most played songs etc.

Then something definitely killed the entire local database, and then all songs were rescanned back in again as new items. Hard to say what happened, but could be a reinstall, clear app data, or just some nasty corruption occurred which broke it and needed a re-create.
