Album art not showing when music is playing

I'm using PA Build 893. My Poweramp used to show album art when music was playing, even when my Galaxy 9 went to lock screen. But suddenly it no longer does this. Even when the phone isn't on lock screen, if I press play, my screen goes dark. If I press the screen, the PA visualizations and album art come back--but only if I physically press the screen. I've checked every setting, and PA has permissions on my phone to override the lock screen. The only thing that's changed on my phone is that I placed all my voluminous music files to a smart card--but I did that months ago, and it didn't affect PA when I first did it.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance!

Press visualization button (the first button under album art area) multiple times until it’s switched off (alternatively long press visualization button to view all visualization modes). Thanks!

Having the same problem but I couldn't fix it with the visualization button.

 

Also unable to search: the keyboard opens, but no search bar or songs are present when I type.

@fakeconsultant Could you clarify exactly what problem you are seeing?  And what version of Poweramp, your device, Android version (any recent updates?), skin choice, etc.
