RachelS
Some of my sogs are recorded very quiet, some are loud. I wish Poweramp would play them all at the same volume.
andrewilley
Use ReplayGain. As long as your songs are tagged correctly, the maximum (peak) volume of each track will be played back at the same level. See Settings > Audio > Replay Gain. RachelS
Sorry, I'm a very novice user. What does it mean "tagged correctly"?

Brett
Would it be possible to add the setting "Apply replay gain only when playing playlists"?

The ReplayGain feature requires the music file to contain a ReplyGain tag within the file's metadata (the extra data within the file that stores Title, Artist, Album, Year, Track#, etc information). This RG tag indicates the peak volume level that occurs within each track, so playback software can reproduce each track with the same peak level. If your files are not properly tagged, you can use batch programs to do it for you (such as foobar2000) which can also read and show you the currently saved data if you're not sure. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReplayGain for more information. Andre
