LlF
Hi, if my flacs are 16-bit/44.1kHz cd quality. Will I gain anything to use the beta hi-res output? sorry noob question. or, If I were to get some 24bit flac, what do I get if it's played on v2 without the hi-res output? Personally I rather doubt it, although I guess the 24 bit processing might give some extra headroom if you like your audio loud and bassy. But otherwise my own feeling is that it's like watching old 4:3 video material on an HD screen - it will probably always look better on an old 4:3 tube interlaced CRT screen, no matter how good the digital upscaling algorithms are.
