  1. just redid the covers in MP3Tag and resynced MM and Poweramp got the covers for all the songs in the album right away. i didn't have to delete anything in Poweramp to resync. Now if i can get the dev at MM to fix whatever bug is in the program. that's another story. pity the best two music programs on the PC is buggy or has a buggy app.
  2. any idea what media monkey is doing to the files? The dev never responded to my thread about it over there in their forums. and one thing i hate about MM is there's no open in containing folder option. or a way to manually search for albums for tagging. it wants to auto tag by sampling the files but it gets it wrong sometimes. if only MusicBee was still compatible with Android 12.
  3. Funny thing is i don't remember having this problem till using Media Monkey. And on the computer Media Monkey reads it just fine or on the app last i knew.
  4. No because the whole album has more then one and most of my music collection has more then one cover. many of my albums have rear covers and inside the leaflets. Only 4 songs out of the whole album is problematic.
  5. Her's was a fresh install of Poweramp. I didn't have this problem with Musicbee but i quit using musicbee because the dev wasn't interested in updating the app to be compatible with Android 12. He told me i should switch to media monkey.
  6. Here's the song from my phone. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ORnPA5qI5g9LynPD25XPwU2hzOBe3jIA/view?usp=drivesdk
  7. I synced her phone with a wired connection with Media Monkey. I bought the pro version for android so i can sync wirelessly to my phone. I tried clearing the album covers cache in Poweramp settings. I'll share the files through Drive later.
  8. Ever since I've been using Media Monkey I've been having problems with Poweramp having missing album covers for some songs. I spent 30 minutes last night trying to fix four songs and even redid the album covers in Media Monkey on the computer, which are embedded btw and deleteing them from the phone and resyncing multiple times with no success. I've been waiting over 6 months for a solution. I didn't get anywhere in the Media Monkey forum. Also my i put music on my gf's phone and the same songs are missing album covers in Poweramp on her phone.
  9. I love Yaps and Liv Dark the most. YAPS have tons of settings and spectrum analyzers but it can be overwhelming to configure at times. and Liv Dark is really stylish and easier and less overwhelming to customize. I have Aurora, Luminous Black, and some others too.
  10. I factory reset my stereo several times. only had one device on the stereo. There is no new firmware to download for my stereo as of September. I just looked now and there is firmware updates from January. bug fixes and bluetooth issues. It's a Pioneer. I would hate to spend a lot of money on a stereo and it not work right. I gave up and bought a Bluetooth adapter to use use for it. after a year of problems with it i am tired of playing with it. the adapter connects and plays music in 3-4 seconds. UPDATE: I got the firmware updated on the stereo and so far in the last two days the phone connects every time and in 10 seconds instead of 40. took them almost a year to update the stereo since i had it. I had it a year from the beginning of April.
  11. update about 2 weeks ago i was on the phone for 2 hrs with tech support about my bluetooth issues on my phone and resetting the data and cache for the bluetooth service didn't help either. My phone is still not connecting automatically to my car stereo most the time lately. and still takes forever when it does connect. takes exactly 40 secs.
  12. I still am having problems. still takes 30 seconds to connect and play music for 3 seconds then 5 seconds of nothing then it connects and it takes several minutes before i can use the pause button or other buttons on the stereo to control the music. I've tried All the AVRCP profiles. I even reset the bluetooth settings. I don't know if there is a different setting to try on the stereo or the phone. it is a 1 year old Pioneer stereo.
  13. I never said it was a Poweramp issue. I tried my Galaxy S9+ awhile back and the few times I tried it it was fine. I will have to try again. And i switched out the car stereo last September with the older one and the problem was still the same. Can you tell me what the AVRCP profile does? I tried all the settings.
  14. I tried resetting the blue tooth. no change. i tried the AVRCP profile and no change. And each time i try to repair the car it fails several times and takes 10 mins to get paired. then whenever it connects I counted 30 seconds each time start the car and the music plays for 3 seconds then blanks out for 5 seconds and then plays fine. I haven't tried other players yet since Poweramp is the default app.
  15. I think i did that after i read your message. the problem I'm still having is it takes over 30 seconds to play music on the car stereo. the stereo says connecting for at least 30 seconds. I'm several city blocks down the road by the time it plays music. it's really annoying. my previous phones would take 5-10 seconds at the most before the music starts.
  16. The play store didn't automatically update tons of apps. I thought it all was updated. So i got everything updated now and the skin works again.
  17. I went to use Poweramp and it defaulted to the default skin and i get an error message for Yaps.
  18. I forgot what the difference is DVC vs not using it. Can you enlighten me? In Poweramp settings, I have "No DVC for Bluetooth Absolute Volume" selected. will that work or do I need to turn it off completely at the top of the screen saying "Enable Direct Volume Control"?
  19. Are you using a Galaxy 21 series phone? because i had that happen to me with MP3's. It was doing it from April to the present. I got a replacement and it's a bit better but now it takes almost a minute to fully connect and play music only with the car stereo.
  20. "So once any given song has 'lost' its embedded artwork in Poweramp, the artwork is no longer visible via any category view or the player screen - and using the Info/Tags display indicates there is no embedded artwork within the file?" yes that's correct. I haven't checked the category view i don't think. I'll try to share it with you next time.
  21. The songs hadn't been messed with and every so many times i sync with Media Monkey it breaks more album covers. some of the songs in question had a bunch of covers with different resolutions. i deleted the extra ones and to fix the problem songs i had to delete and re add the covers in Media Monkey even though they was already embedded or saved to tag, then sync again. sometimes Poweramp doesn't want to see the changes. i had to delete some songs from my phone and then sync to get those songs back with embedded covers in Poweramp. But I'm playing whack a mole with this problem. every time i fix a bunch of mp3's and whole albums then i sync and then more songs or albums lose their covers and they was perfectly fine before. i never had this problem with Musicbee but as many know they hadn't updated the app for Android 12. I had problems with a wired sync on Musicbee with Android 12. the dev's solution for me was to switch to Media Monkey. Unbelievable. I never heard of a dev referring someone to competitor software. I haven't used the other software for the tags yet. I can't understand why Media Monkey is screwing up my songs. Many of the songs that have embedded tags show as no embedded on Poweramp. I don't know if there's a bug with Media Monkey that damages or removes the artwork during a sync. Funny thing is the Media Monkey app shows the album covers on the same songs that Poweramp doesn't. But when i try to look and see if they're embedded or not i can't find a way to see that on the MM app. I hope this helps.
  22. I'm having this problem again. spent 20 mins trying to fix it and it sucks because it always happens when I'm in a hurry. I completely redid the album covers on one album and it is saved in tag on Media Monkey awhile back and it was fine till today. but Poweramp says there's no embedded tag. i deleted the playlist 4 times and did a full scan each time. The album covers was working on this playlist for the last week. i just resynced to update my phone. now i have several album covers missing from various albums. for some it's a few songs in the album and for others it's the whole album. but i checked them all and they have embedded tags according to Media Monkey. I am tired of this. is there a fix coming soon?
  23. I did do a full rescan three times before and nada. I know the Playlist works on the computer and on Media Monkey app. It's like there's some corruption between media Monkey and Poweramp. Don't know if Poweramp isn't reading the Playlist right or what.
  24. I deleted all the files in the playlist and the playlist and resynced and then full rescan on the Poweramp and now the playlist is fine. I was at the gym and wanted the Christmas Upbeat playlist and now that one is broke. it wasn't before. how can i sync with media monkey without my playlists or mp3's getting messed up in Poweramp? I had to switch to Media Monkey because Musicbee won't sync right with Android 12. the dev isn't too interested in making an update to the MusicBee Wifi app. He told twice to try Media Monkey instead. does anyone else have this problem or know a fix?
