Random crashes when entering Folders

Poweramp 2.0.10-build-582-play (FullVersion)    - but first noticed some weeks ago

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (N910F) - Snapdragon 805; Samsung Evo sdcard

Android 5.1.1

custom ROM: Nameless Rom V4

 

I get random crashes when entering or exiting Folders (I use List view), but appears also in Library. It's quite repeatable, with the latest version I get a crash after 5-10 steps of moving in/out of folders.

 

I couldn't get Logcat to work, logs might be disabled in my ROM.

It could be something in one of the folders causing the issue, is it always with the same folders? You could try re-formatting the SD Card on a PC (after backing up the data obviously!) and then copy the contents back again and see what happens?

I've copied a few tracks to some new folders on the internal memory and I get the same thing. After entering and exiting the folder a few times I get the Poweramp crash. Even removed the sdcard tracks from the list, in case that was the problem - now with 2 new folders, 2 tracks in each I still get the crash after 3-5 steps.

Maybe it's something with my custom ROM but I get no issues from any other apps.

Rolled back to 572, which is a year old build, and doing the same, so it must be connected to the ROM - still, the only app having the problem is Poweramp

Looks like it runs out of memory? At 256MB?

Saw there is an Xposed component in the error log (could be a suspect), so I uninstalled it, rebuilt the apps, but the issue remains, so it's not that:

Seems like a pattern with Nameless ROM then.

Do you have the same problems with the new alpha-test build 700 of Poweramp, which was just released for initial testing? (see test forum for details and download)

Ok, send message. I also try today Emotion Rom from other developer and have same issue unfortunately It both based on Samsung Note 4 POK1 firmware-latest available.
