When I using Poweramp, I heard some strange sounds once in a while, but it did not happened in the Android original music player. It this the bug of Poweramp, or it'sa problem of my phone? Indirect88
I also have this issue, while using the OnePlus One with Lollipop 5.02 CM12. Although, I've found that the sound/skipping only occurs when the phone has its screen off. When you are listening to music while the screen is on, everything sounds fine as it was on KitKat. andrewilley
I wonder if the screen-off issues (also the occasional Bluetooth skipping while screen is off) are caused by the CPU clocking down too far for the tasks that Poweramp needs to process. If you can adjust the minimum CPU settings in your kernel, could you try increasing it and see if that helps? Andre
Ruson
Hi, I get this problem too with OnePlus One CM12 Nightlies. Tried rasing both the proccess priority and buffer size to the max and it didn't fix the problem, even though there was a little difference.Tried selecting wakelock and such, nothing helped. It happens only when screen is off. With the build-in music player it doesn't happen. Hope this info helps. Thanks.
Ruson
Seems like its CM12/Lolipop problem. There's a temp fix. Read this post: http://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/2syi83/temporary_fix_for_cm12_audio_glitch/ Enjoy.
evyxmsj
I have KitKat and I have a similar, if not the same problem. Audio makes a loud popping sound when the track advances. Only happens over bluetooth. And as far as I can tell, it only happens with Poweramp (not Google Play Music) when it is not in focus. Any help would be appreciated, as the noise is pretty jarring! CoBfan1987
I have the same problem with stock kernel but if I use Franco.kernel with default settings the issue is gone. Franco is the only kernel I've found to make the problem go away. The issue is only with Poweramp.
