How does Poweramp decide which Album Art to display as the cover?

there's an article on this forum about this question: https://forum.powerampapp.com/kb/en_us/faq/how-album-art-for-a-track-is-selected-r15/

but in resume it takes the album cover of the first track on that album, but you can set any album cover to be display on lists and on the header, just check out the link above, there's everything you need to know about it. 🤙

it takes the album cover of the first track on that album

Seems to be a problem if there are multiple artits for the album as you can see in the screenshots, PA picks the track 43 instead of the first.

If the contained tracks in an album all have different embedded cover images, it can appear random as to which one gets chosen as the album cover in lists. It's most likely down to the first or last file that was originally read from the underlying file system (which as far as I know is unsorted, often based on the order that files were first copied onto the storage). But from a user point of view, just consider it as random.

You can always specify your own album cover, but that will override any individual song images (as saved image files take precedence over embedded images).
