Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and DVC

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this is a bug but please forgive me if I posted to the wrong forum.

I am currently using:
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 (Currently on Android 13/One UI 5.1 May 2023 Patch)
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
Also have Google Pixel Buds Pro

DVC worked previously and I was able to control my volume indepently from my phone and earbuds. I noticed today when I was adjusting the volume from my earbuds it was also adjusting the phone volume. I went to check if Bluetooth Absolute Volume was disabled (switched on to disable) in the developer settings and confirmed it was but in Poweramp it is stating that Absolute Volume is enabled.

I've tried turning blueooth on/off and still same. I tried to enabling Bluetooth Absolute Volume (turning off switch in developer settings), turning off bluetooth, rebooting the phone, disabling Bluetooth Absolute Volume, rebooting, turning bluetooth back on, and checking. Same issue Poweramp stating Absolute Volume is enabled.

I tried searching the forums but couldn't find anything related to my issue. The only thing I can think of is the recent May 2023 security patch maybe broke some things but the funny thing is when I connect my Google Pixel Buds Pro, DVC works and Poweramp shows Absolute Volume is disabled and DVC is active. Does anyone have any guidance and can assist me? Everything sounds more balanced with DVC.

I've also tried turning off HD audio in developer options as well as changing the codec from Samsung Seamless to SBC.

Thank you,

Hello Max,

Appreciate your response and your hardwork making this my favorite music player since 2011.

After doing some research you are right it seems like a known issue within the Samsung community. Guess I will use my Pixel Buds Pro for now~

Thank you!
