Poweramp seems to have inconsistent navigation and I can't seem to find any settings to be able to modify this behaviour.

*On the music player screen the back button takes you to the home screen while everywhere else it takes you back a screen within the app. This should be consistent with the rest of the app - So the Back button takes you to the previous screen throughout the entire app. Also, this behaviour is redundant when on most (all?) android devices there is a button to go to the home screen right next to the back button.

*Swipe actions vary between screens - on the music player screen swiping down from the top takes you to the previous screen, while in lists swiping left and right take you backwards and forwards, while swiping down has no action. Since the music played screen has the most natural feeling swipe controls the lists should follow the same convention.

1) The Back button return back to the launcher home screen whenever you are viewing the app's first displayed (landing) page. This is the same functionality as traditionally found in almost every other Android app, and yes it is the same functionality you get by pressing the Home button.

You can change which page the app first opens in though, using PA Settings=>Look and Feel=>Start at Library. Enabling that will make the top Library view the opening page, and thus the Back button will exit if pressed from there.

2) On the Player Screen, swiping down on the cover artwork is the same action as tapping - it takes you to the current Category's songs list, so you can see the currently playing song. This is not necessary the same as 'previous screen' though. Swiping down on the cover artwork does have a function, it opens the Lyrics interface. Swiping up or down in lists is a scroll action, so clearly it can't also have a gesture interaction - different screens need to provide gesture interactions appropriate to that screen.

For Next Track or Previous Track while in lists by the way, you can swipe left/right on the mini-player at the bottom of the screen.

I do agree that swiping left or right in lists is a bit strange though, as both directions do the same thing (i.e. go up one level - which is the same as the Back button in those screens). It would be nice if swiping right took you up one level, while swiping left again could reverse that action and take you back into the album or song list that you were just viewing.

Also, other people have requested that the Back button should have an option to function more "literally" and thus always go back to the previously viewed screen - especially within lists, where as discussed it currently provides an 'up' a level function which is already available via tapping at the top of the screen or by swiping lefty/right. Obviously if you get back as far as the ordinal starting page, pressing Back would exit the interface and go back to the home screen.

This is so much more natural and intuitive - Thank you very much!

I was thinking that the gesture is enabled once the top or bottom of a list is reached and only when swiping from above or below a certain portion of the screen. This would keep it consistent and also intuitive.

My main issue has been resolved with your help, so please feel free to close this issue or move it to feature suggestions if you think it is fitting. Thanks again :) or
