Android Auto - Poweramp as default audio app

Hi guys,

Not sure, if my question you guys able to understand or not, however here it is. If i play a song from 3rd party application, Poweramp works. if i switch my screen, suppose for navigation or for any other application, background music will get default to head unit in CAR. any solution to make Poweramp as default though i change screen or move to any other application, still Poweramp to support my music without getting disconnect.

My CAR Stereo android version is 12 and Poweramp version is 941

Looking for help.

Is Poweramp running on your Android headunit, or from a connected phone? Poweramp should be able to continue playing in the background when you switch to other apps, unless they request a permanent audio focus change. That can be configured via the options in PA Settings=>Audio=>Audio Focus.
