Rabangus
I've just switched from a Galaxy S9+ to a Galaxy S22 Ultra, and seem to be having exactly the same issue as in the below thread - I get very noticeable distortion/ crackling during quiet periods in tracks. The only way I've found to remove it is to disable DVC and use OpenSL ES, but that kind of defeats the point of using a good DAC! When using HD output it says I'm getting Samsung UHQA PCM 16 bit 48 khz - so it looks looks I'm not even getting hi-res output despite hi-res (24 bit 96 khz Flac) input? I've tried resetting all audio options, but to no avail. Am using the latest beta of Poweramp. Any ideas what's going on here? Solution Rabangus Posted April 16, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted April 16, 2022 Quick update - I found I was able to sort this out by manually selecting the sample rate in the Output settings instead of leaving it as 'Defined by the device'. I guess Android 12 isn't fully recognising my DAC.
