geojoseph
When i connect headphones Poweramp is playing music on both headphone and phone speaker. I think I've messed up with the settings. Help!
andrewilley
That shouldn't be possible, Android is not meant to support that. Are you using any kind of custom ROM? I've only ever seen it happen with high-res output, for which there is an option in Settings > Audio > Advanced Tweaks to force the speaker off if Android tries to re-enable it. geojoseph
@andrewilley I'm not using any custom ROM. My device is Asus Zenfone max pro m1. Initially i thought this was a problem with my headphone jack or ports. So i tried switching headphones but there was no change. Also all other music apps, whatsapp audio etc works fine when connected to headphone. I tried switching on the force speaker off option. Still no change
andrewilley
Try resetting Settings > Audio > Output back to defaults. Andre
geojoseph
@andrewilley That worked. Thanks Andre🙌
andrewilley
I wonder if either you'd mis-set something, or maybe there had been an Android update in the meantime which PA needed to adjust to fit in with? My original thought was that it was an issue with hi-res output, never seen it happen with regular modes. Andre
JEB
I just had the same thing happen, and I hadn't changed any settings. I did go and hit the restore defaults, but it continues to play on both the phone speaker and headphones. If the playback were in sync, it wouldn't be so bad, but they're not. andrewilley
@JEB Have you tried the Force Speaker Off option for hi-res? Andre
