Mats Hedfors
Hello. I have a question. When I listen to music and it playes more quiet, Poweramp often automatically increases the volume. In the same way Poweramp often decreases the volume when the music playes louder. I don´t want this feature. The music is supposed to be louder sometimes and quiter sometimes. So now I wonder if I can turn this off? Otherwise I will use another app. Kindly /Mats Quote Translate Revert translation? andrewilley
Poweramp does not have any dynamic 'on the fly' volume adjustment feature at all. It does support ReplayGain, but that is per whole track, based on the maximum peak moment within that track. If you have boosted EQ gain a lot (especially overloaded bass) then the limiter could kick in and reduce the gain duing peak periods to prevent clipping distortion.
