handsomecheung
My DAP device (ibasso DX220) support DSD512 nativly. But Poweramp plays them by resampling to 192kHz, which is quality loss. Poweramp supports Hi-Res music now, why not make a further step, not resample DSD if possible? andrewilley
DSD audio (like all audio formats) has to be converted to PCM before Poweramp can work with it. If you set the same output frequency (e.g. 192kHz) using Poweramp's High-Res options as your source files, they should not get resampled. If you have varying different source file frequencies, set the output to the highest rate and the lower sample-rate files will be upsampled. Note: Poweramp does not have an 'on-the-fly' adjustment feature to match output rates to source files as that would break a whole lot of other things (crossfade, gapless playback, etc) and potentially create glitches during song transitions.
