I have Poweramp installed on my car head unit and I can't turn it off unless I go into my notification settings? Apart from that, it's probably the best music app I've used to date. Just exiting stopping the music playing and pressing the Back or Home buttons will exit from the app interface, and after that it's up to Android to handle any recent app switching requirements.
