The new v3 of Poweramp that is currently in testing will support Lollipop and upwards. v2 will however remain as a legacy product for older versions of Android, but it won't have any new releases. Some of the test releases for v3 - for the audio engine, but without the new interface - may still work in KitKat though - I know 704 did, not sure about 705/706.
