Yes, we've had that in the past. It seems that on your device it looks for Poweramp as if the storage had been removed and a new storage added. Search these forums, perhaps there had been a workaround.

You could uninstall and reinstall Poweramp, perhaps that helps. ( settings and playlists will get lost, so export and save before uninstall )

I could think of two ways a limiter could work :
- compress the dynamics, as shown in the wikipedia :
- preventively reduce the pre-amplification by the amount of the highest eq increase minus headroom
But it seems it does neither.
@maxmp : what does the Limiter do ?

Shouldn't the limiter mitigate all the bass distortions that users complain about ?
If it doesn't, what's it for ?

So with DVC the limiter doesn't need to limit. But without DVC it should limit, but it doesn't. So that's a bug ?

2. Disable equalizer and tone
3. Disable any sound effects from os
4. Use not especially high resolution audio files, but at least mp3 >= 192 kbit/s
