Quick question about gingerbread

I heard a lot about the new under-the-hood gingerbread (android os 2.3) improvements to the music encoding, etc. Any plans to make use of it? By the way, the app runs well under my version of 2.3

PowerAMP already has it's audio processing pipeline built and optimized, so generally 2.3 doesn't bring any new for it. It's possible, for example, extract PowerAMP equalizer/tone controls into separate app for 2.3 which will work for any other app, but currently I don't see point in this. There is also little point in adding another audio processing pipeline for 2.3 only, as 2.1+ pipeline should be kept anyway.
