dma0
I noticed from the description of the app on the play store that Poweramp can play .wave audio files. However, when I try accessing a .wav file attached to an e-mail, it just says "There is no installed app that can open this attachment. Try downloading an appropriate app from Android Market."I do have Poweramp installed, currently on trial period. On 4.2.2.Any suggestions on how to enable playback through Poweramp? andrewilley
Save the attachment into your music folder on your phone and Poweramp should find it when it next scans.Andre Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/4654-playing-wav-files-attached-to-e-mails/#findComment-18057 Share on other sites
dma0
Thanks. Unfortunately, Android's dumb e-mail client doesn't seem to permit saving an attachment unless a compatible app is installed. All there is is a button that says "INFO" (which helpfully offers the message above) rather than the usual "View / Save" buttons.Hmm. Downloading Winamp seems to enable viewing/saving. I wonder why Poweramp doesn't... Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/4654-playing-wav-files-attached-to-e-mails/#findComment-18058 Share on other sites
