Playing Amazon M3U samples on an Android device

I'm trying to be able to hear, and/or download and then play, the samples from Amazon on my

Asus Transformer tablet (Android v4.0.3). They're apparently in M3U format, and so won't play. When I try to play a downloaded sample on Power Amp, it ends up playing something altogether different. Is there a way to get Power Amp to play these M3U formatted samples?

Thanks.

M3U files are playlists only, they don't contain any actual audio data. You only have half of what you need.

Yes, I came to understand that by doing some research. But what confuses me is that I can be on my Windows desktop and the samples from Amazon will just play. No downloading, no conversion, just click. And, when I look at the underlying URL on the Windows machine, I can see the M3U extension. So, I was hoping there'd be a way that an Android device could do the same. I guess not.

Looking at the content of one of the M3U files, it appears to be a a URL (example below). I tried pasting the URL into a the browser on my Android device (using Dolphin on an

Asus Transformer), but that didn't work either. I guess whatever allows the Windows operating system to interpret the location can't be interpreted by the Android operating system, or it's browser, or something.

Example of an M3U:
