vanellende
Have a Sony Xperia 1 IV and for whatever reason using DVC with Hi-Res output causes it to downsample to 16bit/48khz. So my options are to disable DVC and continue using Hi-Res or to enable DVC and switch to AAudio since the downsampling isn't present on it. Which case will give me the greatest fidelity? It's difficult to compare the two since mucking with the DVC means switching between the two outputs will blow out my eardrums...
andrewilley
Generally DVC has more of a noticable audible imact than high-res output, but it depends on your equipment and of course your ears. Use the one that sounds best to you. You could also try other Output methods (e.g. I use AAudio) and see if you opt for any higher resolutions with DVC still enabled.
