When my phone is linked to the "iccoa carlink", every time the Poweramp equalizer automatically selects the settings that have been assigned to the phone's own speakers. It may be that Android is reporting the output method is just "Speaker" so PA simply responds to what Android is telling it (especially occurs with wireless Android Auto connections).
