thegreg Posted January 20, 2021 Share Posted January 20, 2021 Hello, I'm not sure if this was changed in a recent update, but now when I add an album that has multiple artists, Poweramp is separating the albums by artist. So instead of having one album with all the tracks, it is splitting it into multiple albums. Is there a setting I can change that will bring these albums together? thegreg Posted January 20, 2021 Author Share Posted January 20, 2021 Just to follow-up. Adding a single Album Artist for all tracks seems to bring the album back together. andrewilley Posted January 20, 2021 Share Posted January 20, 2021 There are some other legacy options that help with older, less well-tagged, files - but by far the best (and most correct) modern solution is the one you mentioned, which is to ensure that all tracks in any given album have the same Album Artist tag. Otherwise PA has to rely on solely the Album Title tag matching, which would cause problems with (for example) albums entitled "Greatest Hits" but by different artists.
