  1. @John Titor To be fair, the same applies to sounds much above 20kHz (unless you are a dog) but people still want high-res sampling rates above 44kHz. I think the question was perhaps more theoretical though - if you can equalize frequencies at multiple points below 20Hz in Graphic mode, why not in Parametric mode too? Maybe it has to do with the Q width? Andre
  2. No idea then, I just checked in case Shuffle or the 'Ignore Shuffle for Queue' modes make a difference, but they don't. It works fine for me whatever category I start in, and with shuffle on or off. Even if I choose the Auto-Advance Fading > 'Shuffled Songs' mode, it still crossfades correctly when going in and out of the queue. Are you saying that the function does not trigger at all - i.e. the counter goes all the way to the very end of the last track before the next track commences? Or that the next track does commence shortly before the end of the last track as expected, but the sound doesn't seem to do what you want? Andre
  3. @Chris Tmas Sideloading Google apps onto a non-Google (e.g. Huawei) device is not always a simple user-friendly solution, but in most cases it is possible with a little bit of work - you can try a search online for how to do it for your device. Andre
  4. That works fine for me. I starting playing music in 'All Songs' category, then I added one song to the Queue and then another song using 'Play Next'. PA correctly crossfaded at the end of the currently playing track into the first (Play Next) track, then it crossfaded into the earlier queued song, then it crossfaded back to the original 'All Songs' playback. Obviously if one of the files has a long silent section at the start or end, that will affect the overlap of actual music. My test settings (PA 909): Andre
  5. As a test, try setting the Crossfade Length to max (15 seconds). Near the end of the last queued song it should commence the auto-advance about 8 seconds before the end of the song and fade into the original playback category. Obviously 'Silence Between Tracks' should be turned off. Manual advancing would need to be set to 'Crossfade' to get the same effect (I have mine on Short). Andre
  6. Entering and exiting Queued playback both obey the normal 'All Songs' auto track advance crossfade setting. Andre
  7. @heidl Glad you've got it sorted. A couple of characters can be used verbatim (dollar sign springs to mind) but most need to be changed to underscore. Hopefully at some point Max will be able to add a tickbox to the Album Art download screen to indicate whether you want the newly-found image to be used for the Album view only, or also applied individually for every song in the album. Andre
  8. @Ali Rahal You can turn off EQ functions in the main Poweramp app and use the external Poweramp Equalizer app to control PA's sound just like it can for any other audio player, is that what you mean? If Poweramp does not appear in the list of Known Players in the Equalizer settings, you need to enable MusicFX in the main Poweramp app settings and EQ screen. You should only have DVC enabled in one app or the other though, not both. Andre
  9. @heidl AFAIK, PA doesn't make any particular decisions as to which embedded artwork to use as an overall cover. It's probably related to the sequence in which the files get read in from the underlying storage, and each new image one overwrites the previous so the final one gets used? If you are on Android 10 or 11 (and PA was installed on that version fairly recently, rather than gradually updated) the cache folder structure may be in the newer required folder format which does not use the underscored subfolder name, thus it might be Android/data/com.maxmpz.audioplayer/files/ . The older system would have been: Android/data/_com.maxmpz.audioplayer/ . The album_art subfolder is used for auto-downloaded images (which won't override all of the individual track covers, so this is the one you want to use) while and selected_aa is for manually downloaded files (which also overwrite individual embedded covers inside the album). Most special characters (brackets, exclamation marks, etc) need to be replaced with underscores in the image filenames - the naming system is designed for app use, not really for people. A FULL Rescan is a good idea after making manual changes to folder contents. Andre
  10. You don't need an extra skin for that, the default ones can do it: PA Settings > Look and Feel > Skin > Alternative Layout. You can also move or hide some other player interface elements in PA Settings > Look and Feel > Player UI. Andre
  11. The problem is that it's only a 'Shuffle Folder' mode if you happen to be listening to Folders in the first place. If you are listening by Album it is a 'Shuffle Album' mode, and so on with Artists, Genres, Years, etc. Hence the use of the general term "Category" to mean whatever library category you are currently listening to. If you want to shuffle just the current folder (or album etc) start playback from that Library Category and then use the Shuffle icon to enable either the 'Shuffle Songs' or the 'Shuffle Songs and Categories' mode. Both modes will initially do what you want and play the entire contents of the current folder in randomised order, but the difference is what happens after the current folder is finished - in the first case, PA simply moves on to play the next folder in order and randomises the contents of that folder, while in the second case its pick another folder at random to play the contents randomly. For more info on Categories, and all the available Shuffle and Repeat modes, please see: Andre
  12. Excellent, glad you got it sorted. Huawei not being allowed to pre-install Google Play on their devices is very frustrating for people who have previously purchased apps via Google on another phone and then find themselves locked out of their own purchase. Others
  13. You say this is a new phone without Google support - perhaps it is a Huawei? If so, you need to sideload Google onto it (search the web for info on how to do this) as any Google Play Store purchases require the Google Play Store to be present on the device in order to reinstall. Purchases made on the Poweramp website do not require Google service to be on the new device so are fine on such devices - but unlike with a Google purchase, a website licence can only be used on one device at a time. Andre
  14. I think it's highly unlikely to be a hardware issue with the phone itself, but the new one may be running on a different firmware version (Android build) or there may be some other app(s) that you have not re-installed yet which have been causing your problem. Keep an eye on the situation when you next receive an Android update or install or update apps. Andre
  15. The .txt file can be imported now, but you currently have to download it from the AutoEQ site yourself. Andre
  16. It's an equalizer only. It doesn't play music files directly, it merely adjusts the sound created by other apps. Andre
  17. And if you still can't find the email, contact support at poweramp.maxmpz@gmail.com giving any details you do know. Andre
  18. I've been mentioning this one for a while. I too think that the top control bar should auto slide back into view whenever you start to scroll a list back upwards (just like the bottom miniplayer bar currently does). Not the whole header immediately, just the control icons; the rest of the header should engage and scroll back into view when you get to the top of the list. And the control icons should re-hide themselves again when you scroll further down, just like the miniplayer does. Andre
  19. PA does not store any extra files outside of the Android/data/xxx structure. Not even in your music folders. So those files are not PA's. PA v2 only uses the _com.maxmpz.audioplayer (underscore) folder name, it was never written to use the tighter naming system that Android 11 now insists upon. So unless its older Android target version still allows the original folder name to be created and used on new Android 11 installs, it won't work. Andre
  20. Yes, it's easy and safe. You can download from the Play Store (make sure you use PA v3 skins though, not old v2 ones) Andre
  21. You can't on the default skin, but several of the third-party ones can do it. Andre
  22. Not sure exactly when this happened - fairly recently though - but on the current 909 build, a lot of my older radio show recordings have vanished from my PA Library. It turns out the file extender ".mp2" (from digital radio stream recordings) is no longer being recognised by the scanner - although PA itself can still play them fine when they are launched externally. So complete batches of my radio shows files which were fine before are now not being picked up by the scanner. Andre
  23. You have 'Duck Volume' enabled, which is designed to prevent pausing of playback during short audio focus changes (messages, alert tones, etc) and instead just reduced the volume a bit. If you want PA to pause, turn that off. The Notifications settings are not relevant, they control the pull-down status-bar notification control panel, not audio interruptions. Andre
