Billyrib
I have been using Poweramp with no problems on a Motorola Moto G smartphone. I recently upgraded to a Moto 5 and migrated the same version of Poweramp to my new device. I now find that wma files will not play on Poweramp. The only difference is that my music files are now stored on an SD card rather than on the internal storage (my original device did not have expandable memory). Any idea how I can overcome this? andrewilley
Try using the alpha-test release of v3 as it uses a different audio engine. I assume you've checked to see if these files play OK from internal memory? Andre
Billyrib
Thanks for your reply. I haven't tried to store files on the internal storage as I am having problems transferring files via USB cable, an issue I will try to resolve with the device manufacturer. Could you clarify your advice to try alpha-test v3. Is this a different app or an update ? How do I do this ? Thanks again.
andrewilley
The alpha test builds are available from the Downloads tab at the top of this page. They are early test releases for the upcoming v3 of Poweramp, but actually work pretty well for daily use. Andre
