Crossfade over Chromecast on manual track change

Is crossfading over Chromecast on manual track change a feature in the works? I play cast my music to my Denon receiver over bluetooth and Chromecast. I would like to do this for the parties that we have. I can crossfade over bluetooth, but not over Chromecast. Bluetooth distance is limited, but with Chromecast, I can roam all over my home without dropping the connection. Please add crossfading for manual track change when playing music via Chromecast.

The ability to apply crossfading and EQ presets for streams via Chromecast would be awesome. Both are features which let PA standing out from other mobile music player apps, therefore not being available for streaming via chromecast is sad.

Yes this is the exact feature I was looking for, any update on this? Ever since Google took away the cast my audio to groups I've been searching for a solution. I want to use PA but I need the crossfade feature.

As far as I know it isn't possible to implement crossfade for chromecast output because the interface cannot process two songs at the same time. Because of this limitation I requested the option to only fade out the actual song on manual track change and afterwards start the next song at normal volume.
