M3u8 playlist plays songs not on playlist

I have been trying to research this issue but I haven't been able to find anything completely related to my issue and how to fix it.

I just purchased Poweramp 2.0.7 Build 515 Full Version and I am using it on a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 running Android 2.3.6 (No Rom). I put my music on an SD card along with my playlists. My playlists were originally M3U and I read somehwere that they need to be M3U8 in order to work correctly. I have converted them but the issue still persists.

The issue is that the playlist starts with a song from the playlist but after a few it changes to songs outside of the playlist. I have the playlist on shuffle mode.

When I look at the playlist from within Poweramp it shows the correct number of songs in the playlist.

Any idea how I can fix this issue?
