Android Auto Back button/ Home screen issue

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this should go in feature requests, but is there a way to designate a Home category like with a long-press on the phone version of the app? I haven't actually found a Home button on the AA version so that's probably not possible without one.

What I have noticed is if I select a song from an album (in Folders Hierarchy) then hit the Back button I return to the album. Perfect. If I get back in the car it resumes playing the song, but when I hit the Back button again it takes me to the "Home" screen (top of the library).

It seems the Back button's previous-screen memory is reset upon losing connection to AA therefore it takes me to the top of the library instead of back to the album folder the song is from. I haven't tested to see if this is an issue exclusive to Folders Hierarchy. On my phone app the back button functions as a library navigation tool.

I saw the opposite of this in the frequently requested features thread so maybe that request was implemented in the AA version of the app? It's like if the previous screens were saved in memory even after terminating the AA connection we would have the best of both worlds.

For reference, I'm on an S22 (latest AA), UConnect 5, build 945.
