Odd behavior with Android Auto voice commands

I'm having some trouble with voice commands with Android Auto on my Samsung Galaxy S8 with v3-build-830-play (Time Limited Trial). If I say "Play Moving Pictures by Rush," Google Assistant will say they are doing so, and respond in one of two ways: either by claiming there are no results found, or playing Limelight, the first song on the album alphabetically, and then continuing with every song in my library that follows it alphabetically. This only occurs when attempting to use the app via Android Auto. Using voice commands to play an album when the device is not hooked up to my car causes albums to play as you would expect them to. I'd really like to find a solution to this, as it's the only thing stopping me from buying the app.
