Widget Option to make artwork passive on home screen

Hello, 

   I have a request that may be asking to restore a previously mundane setting. I use the 4x2 widget on Nova. For a long time, I could click anywhere in the widget and it would just ignore it. Only if it was text, media buttons, or the widget editor tapped, would it open Poweramp, control media, or open the editor, respectively. That was perfect.

   I scale the artwork to my home screen and overlap widgets in the corners. I could even put others behind this widget and still interact with them. I am not sure if the default setting was a tap anywhere will open Poweramp, and Nova somehow altered that, but I miss that ability. Now I'm opening this app countless times trying to interact with other widgets, or even navigating my home screens.
