Your assumption was spot on, Some reason the balance was set all the way to the right channel. I haven't used Poweramp in quite a while so I forgot there was these options.

@andrewilley Hi, thanks for the suggestion, Could you guide me to which section in the setting the pan control is located? I'm not too familiar with the purpose of certain settings and the layout of it. Thanks

Bluetooth device Airpods

your Android version Android 10

Rom Default/factory 

steps to reproduce

1. played songs normally in Poweramp: only right ear audio
2. changed all settings to default: same result
3. deleted and reinstalled: same result

All other media players such as spotify, google play music and youtube music work normally with my airpods.
