Hello everybody! As title suggests, the problem is that Poweramp doesn't switch to the chosen language (English). Instead, it remains in Android's interface language (Greek). If I change Android language to English, Poweramp switches automatically to English. In other words, Poweramp follows the Android's interface language. I think that the problem might be related to a recent update, few days ago (UI 6.0). Any thoughts? Thanks! Poweramp build 976 Samsung A52s Android 14

I haven't thought that filename and tags can be non identical! For example: Filename Aerosmith - Dream On can be tagged as Artist:Aerosmith, Title:Dream On, Album: Classic Rock or whatever. So I tried exactly that! And it works! Everything looks fine now! The only problem, well sort of, is that on Now Playing screen appears an Album name. On the other side, the filename remains Aerosmith - Dream On, which is more eye friendly in Windows explorer. Get something give something... I have to put some thought to which display I prefer... I'm thinking of changing the "Artist - Title" tag scheme, to "Artist - Album - Title". For example, Aretha Franklin - Funk-Soul - Respect, instead of Aretha Franklin - Respect. This way, all files will have an album name. Well it's genre's name but Poweramp doesn't know! Maybe this stops Poweramp from considering the files as Album-less. Just thinking...🤔

I don't think it's a coincidence. Strangely enough (?), Poweramp shows correctly the embeddeb artwork of all the files with no Album tag (thousands of them). Without a single exception!

Even if I would maintain this structure ("Artist - Title") and just fill in the Album tag (using Mp3Tag), what Album name should I use and how can be assured that Poweramp will associate these files with the desired Cover? Same with Album Artist. How can be assured that the existence of Album Artist will make Poweramp to display the desired Cover? In Settings>Album Art, there is the option "Prefer Downloaded Album Art". It means that Poweramp will display the in-folder cover. I'm hesitating though because this would mess up the whole library, even the files with proper tagging. Bear in mind that Now Playng screen displays the correct Cover Art. The problem exists until just before the Now Playing screen (photos).

Hello everybody! Poweramp build 957 Samsung A52s Android 13 The problem is more visual than functional, but either way, if there is a solution, it would be nice! Let's start from Library>Genres screen (photo 1). - If I click Classical genre icon (photo 2), everything looks fine. All Classical files have "Artist - Album - Track - Title" tags (i.e.Beethoven - Symphony 3 - 01 - I Allegro con brio). - If I click Disco genre icon (photo 3), everything looks fine. All Disco files have "Artist - Title" tags (i.e.Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive) and they also have the same Cover art. - If I click "All Genre songs" or "Unknown album", everything looks fine (photo 4). - If I click Classic Rock genre icon (photo 5), there is a problem (photo 5). All Classic Rock files have "Artist - Title" tags (i.e.Bad Company - Ready For Love) and they also have the same Cover art. - If I click "All Genre songs" or "Unknown album", there is a problem (photo 6). To sum up: All genres with "Artist - Album - Track - Title" tagged files, looks fine. The same problematic behavior, as Classic Rock genre, have all other genres with "Artist - Title" tagged files. The Disco genre is the only one with proper behavior and strangely, its' Cover art appears to every other "Artist - Title" tagged genres territory. I tried to give you as many info as I could. Is there something that could fix the problem? Thank you all!

Tagging is 100% correct! I thought that Android was to blame...😒

Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 (Android 9.0), Poweramp build 939 When I was on build 933, the following data were on Android lock screen (as shown in the picture) Track title (no.30,op.109, II Prestissimo) -this was helpful- Album Artist (BEETHOVEN) Now, with build 939, Android lock screen shows Filename Album Artist (BEETHOVEN) Is there something in Settings area so Track Title (instead of Album title) and Cover Art to be shown? (Lock Screen>Cover Art is enabled) Thank You!

I never had problem with unfinished scans but I'll keep in mind your suggestions.

The issue is present with the whole library (about 18.000 tracks). Here are some of them. In the meantime, I've rolled back to build 925 and works fine!

I had tried Full Scan twice but nothing changed. I also de-selected and re-selected folders followed by a new Full Scan but nothing changed as well.

100%!!! Poweramp at the first phone, and two pc players (MusicBee, Nemp) read the very same files without problem.

Hello everybody! I use two mobile phones. The first one, Samsung Galaxy A3 2015 (Android 6.0) has build 925 and the other, Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 (Android 9.0) has build 933. I use the second one (build 933) just for a few days but I already have noticed a major inconvenience with Build 933. Both phones have the exact same library in their SDcards. All files are tagged according to this pattern: ARTIST - ALBUM - TRACK NUMBER - TRACK TITLE The track shown in the screenshots has this filename BEETHOVEN - Piano Sonatas 09-16 (Pollini) - 26 - no.16,op.31.1, I Allegro vivace and the subsequent tags are Artist: BEETHOVEN Album: Piano Sonatas 09-16 (Pollini) Track number: 26 Track Title: no.16,op.31.1, I Allegro vivace As you can see, Build 925, correctly, shows Track Title in both screens (main playing screen and track list screen) but Build 933 shows the whole filename and this is quite inconvenient because it makes the queue procedure quite difficult. I have to view Info/Tags for each and every track just to know which tracks I put in queue. I've searched the Settings area but I haven't found something. Is this a bug? Is there a solution? Do I have to roll back to the previous build? Thanks!

The Album Artist tag was the solution indeed! I tried with some test files and it worked fine. Now I 'm gonna make extended changes in my library. Thank you all!🙂

I don't use Album Artist Tag. The Tags I use are: Artist, Album Artist, Year, Track, Genre. Adding Album Artist tag, could be a solution. I think I should give it a try. Thanks for the answer!

Hello everybody! This is my first post. 🙂 build 911-arm32-play[911002-faf436fb] Samsung A3 2016 Android 6.0.1 My library consists from mp3 files. All of them have embedded cover arts (with Mp3tag v.3.0.2). All mp3 filenames are in this format: ARTIST-ALBUM-TRACK-TITLE (ie Pink Floyd - The Wall - 01 - In The Flesh) and the respective tags are based on the filename (using Mp3Tag). The problem appears when some albums have identical names. For example Led Zeppelin - Greatest Hits, Deep Purple - Greatest Hits or Brahms - Piano Concerto no.1, Beethoven - Piano Concerto no.1 etc. When there are identical Album names, Poweramp shows correctly only one of them but only in Library or Folders screen. In Now playing screen, all covers are correct. Without being 100% sure (it's many years that I live with this problem), when three or more albums have identical names, only one of them appears correctly. For example Led Zeppelin - Greatest Hits (correct cover) Deep Purple - Greatest Hits (wrong cover, Zeppelin's one) U2 - Greatest Hits (wrong cover, Zeppelin's one) etc The solution I have thought of, is not to have albums with identical names so I make small changes(Led Zeppelin - Greatest Hits of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple - Greatest Hits of Deep Purple etc). To be honest though, I would prefer not to make these inconvenient (and silly) changes like the above, as far as the app could show all the covers correctly. Any idea? Possible solution? I hope that these pictures will make the problem better understood. Thank you in advance!
