      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It is hoped this will be ready for final beta-testing by the end of the May. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Let's introduce the new feature - In Hand Mode!! Actually it just locks out all the buttons and switches on the screen. It is better if the physical buttons are locked as well (such as home button & lock button). This feature allows you to handle the phone without false touching when the screen is on. It will also be cool if you turn on some virtualizations. Think about that, you've got a cool virtulization and you can hold your phone with the screen is on. And your friends can see your cool animation when you play music with your Earpods... It should work really well on an OLED display phone. Also works good with a black phone.
  2. Hello. There is a problem: increasing the volume, the sound immediately is quiet, and then becomes louder. This problem my Samsung GT 9070I and LENOVO K5 note A7020a40
  3. Hello everybody, I love Poweramp and I am using it for years on different phones. Currently I am using an LG Nexus 4 with Android Lollipop 5.0.1. My newest toy is a Garmin Vivosmart, which hopefully will be fully functionable in one of the next versions . So...what is not working: The Music Control using the Vivosmart Band, which allows me, to Play/Pause, change volume, but also to change to previous and next title is not working correctly. Unfortunately until now it is not possible to change titles, because of amisinterpretingof the corresponding controls. Using "previous/next title" always result in the Play/Pause functionality. I've already tried it with the Default Google Music Player and here it worksflawlessly. If you need any other information, please let me know. 4. I had the Galaxy S3 and Poweramp worked beautifully with the stock headset/earbuds. I could do the single, double, triple click with no problem. Now I have the Galaxy S5 and I can't get the buttons to work as they did with the S3. I've even resurrected the S3 and compared those settings, line-by-line, to the S5 and they are the same. Anyone have an idea how I can get this working? Please help me...it's driving me bonkers
  5. Galaxy Gear Controller

I've been using this app for a long time, and I was thinking if you could make a dedicated controller app for the Gear (both generations) I think it would be useful since the media controller only controls the stock player.
  6. Hello, Well done to you for creating this already excellent player Here is a suggestion to overcome a small issue, that I'm sure others may have experienced: Would it be possible to incorporate a master pause button in Poweramp and it's lock screen, that overrides bluetooth AD2P control commands "Play " without interfering with the phone function? Normally when driving with bluetooth selected on the car stereo, Poweramp will start playing. I am able to view the artist info and use steering wheel controls to select next track. If a phone call comes through (car has hands free kit built in the stereo), Poweramp pauses then resumes at the end of the call. This works nicely. If I have navigation software (navigon) running at the same time, the voice from the navigation blends in over the music. The audio level for this can be adjusted independently. There are times when driving I don't want any music, however still wish to use the navigator (navigon) and hear the directions over bluetooth. The problem is if power amp is manually "paused" it immediately starts playing again. If I quite Poweramp using the task manager, power amp will automatically start up again and resume. The only way to overcome this is to make a audio track called "silence" and tell Poweramp to repeat that track. There are no options in the car stereo to pause a "bluetooth audio player", the only time it will pause is when receiving a call, listening to cd or radio. Turning the volume down in Poweramp unfortuntly has the effect of reducing the navigator audio level. It appears Poweramp's volume adjusts the "master volume", rather than having it's own independant control. I would have though a master pause Icon/Button would work, the bluetooth audio channel is shared (phone calls are also channelled). This master pause, could be cancelled by hitting the next button on the steering wheel, should you decide a little music is in order after all! What do you think? Thanks Jonathan. B
  7. Poweramp has the best implementation of Shuffle I've ever seen. What I'm asking for here is an option to disable particular shuffle/repeat methods from coming up when the toggles are tapped (but still displaying them all when the toggle is long-pressed. That way, for example, you could set the Shuffle button to cycle between just Shuffle All/Shuffle Lists/Off.
  8. Controlbuttons in notificationbar

Is it possible to add control buttons in the notificatinbar when Poweramp is playing a song? This way it would be a lot easier to skip or pauze songs when another app is running in the foreground. (So you don't need to close the app first, to return to pAMP)
