  1. This bug is 100% reproducible in my device, not sure in other device. My device is Nexus 6P, system is stock Android 7.1.1 (build number: N4F26T) This bug did not ever happen in Poweramp v2. the very same MP4 file is played without any issues in V2. Reproduce the bug: download THIS MP4 file from youtube: https://youtu.be/uu3bD2Rk8hg (or use this url https://r1---sn-a5meknlz.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?sparams=dur,ei,expire,id,initcwndbps,ip,ipbits,itag,lmt,mime,mm,mn,ms,mv,pl,ratebypass,requiressl,source,upn&upn=Zxf2QQ6R2_c&mime=video/mp4&ratebypass=yes&source=youtube&pl=21&signature=26F756D8CF6C1285BAF3EE70B7F9A8CB8E9065CB.46DBEA95695D5F2C0BAB578E92DF60E133CCE3F6&expire=1491400902&ei=ZaTkWL3dOsiy_AOUyJOwDQ&ipbits=0&requiressl=yes&id=o-AFS9xXO-SDza1SdAl9IZvAG8XVjO5O5QIDYzaVT7Qbd6&itag=22&dur=127.941&lmt=1473019942736247&key=cms1&ip=45.79.74.181&title=%E3%82%A2%E3%83%9E%E3%83%84%E3%83%84%E3%83%9F%20OP%20-%20%E3%81%93%E3%81%93%E3%82%8D%E3%81%AB%E9%9F%BF%E3%81%8F%E6%81%8B%E3%81%BB%E3%81%9F%E3%82%8B%20@60p&redirect_counter=1&cm2rm=sn-n4vez7e&req_id=26834ccb764da3ee&cms_redirect=yes&mm=34&mn=sn-a5meknlz&ms=ltu&mt=1491379279&mv=m, but I'm not sure it can always be downloadable) play this mp4 with Poweramp V3, when it plays to 1m18s, the play speed significantly drops, make the female voice sound like a male. Then even you backward before 1m18s, speed will still be unchanged. You can fast forward to or beyond this position. It will also trigger this bug. This is not the only file which can trigger this bug.
  2. Almost all my music is downloaded from Beatport in stem.mp4 format for use on my DJ controller and plays fine in all my other music players but Poweramp will not play these files. All my other formats like .wav and .aiff play perfectly fine in Poweramp. When I load up a stem.mp4 in Poweramp it will play for 1-2 seconds then skip back to the beginning, play 1-2 seconds and continue this loop/skip. A stem.mp4 should play exactly like a .mp4 as it contains a master track embedded in the file and the stock music player on my Galaxy S6 has no problems playing them but Poweramp won't play them even though it supports .mp4
  3. Greeting. Forgive me, I've tried to see if there were any previous topics posted for how to disengage Poweramp from playing MP4, and ws unable to find anything. Anyhow, I would like to ask if there is a way to stop the player from playing MP4 audio? These are nearly always associated with video files on my device and it's getting slightly irksome to have to rely on creating playlist to avoid playing them. Thank you for your time in reading and any input you provide. Charles
  4. There seems to be a lot of questions about this, but I've not seen an answer yet. Does anyone know how to get gapless playback to work with MP4s when using Poweramp? I ripped a few CDs using Nero AAC, which played back fine in Poweramp. However, the playback wasn't gapless. There is a small break of a few milliseconds between songs, which, when listening to an album where one track seamlessly transitions to another, is quite disruptive to listen to (at first I thought that Poweramp was hiccuping on the tracks). Are there any tags I can add to the files? The reason I'm interested is that right now I have most of my music in OGG. However, I've notice that the battery takes quite a beating from playing these, compared to MP4 (because the CPU usage is much higher). It's not dreadful of course, but could be better. An example: 2 hours of playing back MP4 audio shows a total CPU usage of 13m in Android. 1.5 hours of playing back OGG audio shows a total CPU usage of 20m (some quick maths suggests this would be almost double that of MP4). The OGGs are encoded at q6 (~192kps), whereas the MP4 are ripped at 0.5 (~160kps). I'm not sure that the extra 32kps accounts for double the CPU usage, but maybe I'm wrong Tags? Ripping suggestions..? Thanks, Steve

    gapless aac

Downloaded Poweramp for the Nexus 4. Sounds fantastic--best of the ones I've tried. But unfortunately the lack of gapless aac is a deal-breaker for me. When you have a mix CD that blends the music track-to-track, it's amazing how disruptive that few millisecond pause is. Neutron supports gapless aac perfectly, and for me the non-disruption of gapless wins over the better sound from your app. I hope you can add this feature sometime soon, so I can use Poweramp for all my music. (BTW, thanks for adding RealplayGain.)

    MP4

I have a request, as you can tell by the title you know were I'm getting at when I tell you can we please have MP4 files compatibility for the next update for Power Amp. I would love this feature because I watch music videos all the time from YouTube to MTV and so on. Please give me a response back and thank you. E.Summers
