      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. I recently switched from MediaMonkey to JRiver on my PC. JRiver is used much more by audiophiles due to it's superior audio processing. It also uses a new standard for volume leveling called R128 which is much more accurate than standard replay gain. I was wondering if there were any plans to incorporate the ability to read the R128 tags instead of RG tags for volume leveling. Poweramp is without a doubt the best media player on android so I am hoping you guys will be adding this in the near future.
  2. Bug: Replaygain tags applied by Foobar2000 on Wavpack, both hybrid and full, are being ignored & not detected in Poweramp Poweramp Version: alpha-build-703-play (Full Version) 2.0.10-build-558-play (Full Version) Wavpack Settings Used: Fast Hybrid with and without correction file High x5 Hybrid High x5 3.5bit/sample Audio Sample: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_c2C5tUq8nTMkFsMVo5Q1A0T0U Note: 1khz signal, I believe. It was made by wavpacks creator as a way to test if an app was or was not utilizing correction files. Its just the smallest sample I can share where I've applied replaygain. Screenshots:
  3. Like many androids, I will often switch between playing random tracks or whole albums. I have my whole collection (7.5k tracks) analyzed for ReplayGain and I must manually adjust the RG option to "by Track" and "by Album" when I switch modes. How about a simple option within the RG selection to have: RG applied by Track or Album when shuffle is ON or OFF (respectively)? - Agent N2O
  4. I searched and found this thread: http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/topic/1316-soundcheck-option-available/page__p__5259__hl__normalization__fromsearch__1#entry5259 However, it's over a year old and if I understand correctly Poweramp now supports Replay Gain for normalization. Is there a chance that Apple's Sound Check will be supported? Winamp does this by converting Sound Check tags to Replay Gain when syncing. I prefer iTunes over Winamp and Foobar2k, but that's another discussion. /iPhone user, looking over the fence for alternatives
  5. Would be cool if the RG value of the current track would be displayed at the bottom of the screen where it shows frequency and bitrate. Looks to be plenty of room. Thanks for listening.
