Patio09
Since I changed my phone I'm looking for the presets I had created on the old device. Where are they stored ? Can they be copied ?
andrewilley
You can export your settings using Poweramp Settings > Export Settings (you may need to also press 'Menu' within the Settings screen, depending on which version of PA you are using). Do the same process to import again on new device. Andre
Patio09
Thank You, Only I do not have the phone anymore (it was broken) all I have is a copy of the data on a hard drive... I reckon I'll have to do the settings again.
andrewilley
Probably easier, yes. And anyway, on a new device you might want to change your presets to allow for different output characteristics. Andre
mph
Can it be that the content of this file is encrypted? If yes why???
andrewilley
No, EQ settings are stored in Poweramp's file area as far as I know. All data is saved in the (root) folder /data/data/com.maxmpz.audioplayer/ which you can copy and restore to a new device if you like. I can't 100% guarantee this will work though, especially if the directory structure on the new device is different to that on the old one, but the worst that can happen is you need to clear data or re-install again. I assume the EQ settings are in shared_prefs/eq.xml if you want to try restoring that file only, which might be less bother. Andre
