How do I activate the hi-res quality on my device? I have the latest version of Poweramp and I have a Xiaomi mi9t

Exact functionality is very much device-dependent, but go to PA Settings > Audio > Output and select the High-Res option. Enable whichever output device(s) that you are planning to listen to from the list (normally that would be Wired Headset/AUX, unless you have extra dedicated hardware). Tap on the cogwheel icon next to that on/off switch to go into specific settings for that device and adjust the output sample rate and any other settings as desired.

Hello, I do not know if you have reviewed the LG devices, they have a supposed QuadDac that may not be a great thing, but it sounds better than many Android, according to the LG page it supports up to 32 bits 192 kHz.

I speak for the LG v30, v35, v40, v50, v60 models that have this dac.

All of these run Android 9 +

@AngelED2000 yes, this DAC is switched by user clicked toggle in shade. For Poweramp there is no difference as SOC supports all those formats, and the DAC is just a final step (which is controlled by that toggle). The SOC (and DACs) actually support even more than that, 384kHz and also various 1-bit DSD modes.

Also please note that modern DACs have dynamic range resolution around 20-22 bits. Poweramp has 64bit internal processing, but this is mostly needed for high accuracy bass equalization where such resolution helps, and of course not required for accurate "flat", "direct" hi-res playback.

Hello!

1. Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505)...

Question to maxmp
When turning sound output via bluetooth to headphones with AptX, Poweramp writes that the output is 24 bit 44 kHz, is this really so? But the AptX standard can only output 16 bit 44 kHz.

@Hazard Poweramp informs the accepted (by the android audio subsystem) parameters as reported by it.
What is the actual bit resolution (don’t expect more than 20-22 bits from really high end dacs), and sampling frequency can be only confirmed/verified by independent instrumental measurement (and many devices were and are tested instrumentally when new ROM or SOC appears on market).

Thanks!

Sample Right of Higg-Res output always reverting back to 48kHz on Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Upon Removal and Insertion of headphone jack, then it's temporarily fixed. Sometimes, it's annoying. Hehe.
