Brava27
Hello, S7 edge here with 128gb SD card loaded with 7000+ songs. Whenever I boot up Poweramp, it takes a good 10 seconds to skip or even play a song from my phone. It's beyond infuriating and I have tried out other music apps and nothing like this happens with those apps. They play immediately. I just can't stop using Poweramp because I have been using it for 4 years+. Anyone help me out? Thanks
andrewilley
How many songs have you got in any given folder? Obviously not all 7000, but are there any especially large folders? Does this happen if you copy a portion of your music onto device memory and play tracks from there? Andre

Maybe I should divide them?

Brava27
That fixed it! Amazing. Made 4 different folders with 1500+ songs each. That seemed to fix it.
andrewilley
I wouldn't normally suggest more than a few hundred files per folder, as the more you have the greater the overhead in reading the directory. Glad that sorted it anyway. Andre
