Recommended Posts

Just wondering how I can open topic with image attached directly. I can only insert image with URL link...

Either upload it as an attachment and add it to your post (using "More Reply Options" to get to the full editor) or upload it to an image sharing site and include the link to the image using [ img ] tags or by clicking on the picture button at the top of the message editor screen.

Test message with a newly created user account and an embedded image using the Image button (or [ IMG ] tags) and entering the URL of an image that is hosted on the web.

Adding images that you have hosted somewhere on the web (e.g. photo sharing sites, etc) works for all user levels using the Image button or typing the [ IMG ] and [ / IMG ]  tags directly - except for Validating Users who have not yet responded to the confirmation email.

Authorisation for adding attachments was a bit patchy in the group permissions settings, so I've just made Attachments valid for all of the regular forums here, as for some reason only about half were set to allow attachment uploading.

I can finally see the Attach files at the bottom of the box. :) Not sure why, I have not done anything...

It's because I reset the global permissions for the forums - for some reason some forums had attachments allowed, and some didn't.
