Optional 30 second skip, 30 second replay buttons

I realize not everyone would want these, but I would love to have two optional buttons that could be added to the primary playback screen by the user if they want them.  30 second skip and 30 second replay buttons.  Maybe make them configurable for 5, 10, 30, 60 seconds.  Would be awesome for skipping commercials on downloaded podcasts and the like.

I've been asking for that feature for about four years now, it would make navigating through any longer tracks (concerts, radio shows, audiobooks, podcasts, etc) a lot more bearable. My settings would be for 10 sec backward and 30 sec forward.

I'd love to see such skip functions available as an optional choice for the swipe action within the album art area (so left-swipe goes back by a given time, right-swipe goes forward).

Still waiting though.

Too funny, that's how I have my TV set up.  30 seconds forward, 10 seconds back.  Disappointing to learn you've been waiting 4 years for this.  Seems like a very easy to implement feature that would please a lot of people if it were there.

Podcast Addict has this feature.  I'm going to try it out and see if I like it better than Poweramp.  So far it's a minor nuisance to set it up and get it going but the configurable skip forward / skip back is fantastic.  It does not appear to have the advanced EQ and other audio controls that Poweramp has (or I just can't find them).  It also has the ability to play the Podcast back at different speeds (like 1.5x, etc).

 

Poweramp is probably much better for single song music tracks, just kind of blows for podcasts.
