Does not continue from a playlist

Recommended Posts

I get this problem every 3-4 months...

I play a song from a particular playlist, and after the song is over, it does not play the next song on the playlist but rather the next song in 'All songs'. Example...if I am playing song 5 of a playlist of 20 songs, then when the next song comes, the notification bar shows the next song played is 113/1150, instead of 6/20. I have been solving this issue by uninstalling and reinstalling...but then all the playlists created by Poweramp also disappears with that. Plus I have to redo some settings too.

Any idea why this happens?

If you play the song from within the playlist view, then it will continue with the next song in that playlist afterwards (as long as Shuffle is not enabled obviously). However if you launch playback from elsewhere (e.g. the All Songs list, or from a homescreen shortcut, or Search) then Poweramp won't be working in Playlist mode. To check, take a look at the icon to the left of the song title in the Player Screen, that will tell you what playback mode is currently active.

Good evening,

I have the same problem, I recall the song from one playlist when it shows in the player, it shows on the right side of the song the song number, but the number of songs is the total of the songs I have, not of the playlists, on the left side it shows it is from a playlist, if I prees long it goes to the playlist I selected the song from.

The only way I found to solve it is to uninstall Poweramp and reinstall.

Is there anyway of correcting it without uninstalling?

Works for me on KitKat. When playing a song from a playlist, both the Player Screen and the drop-down notification item show the current track number within the total number of tracks that exist in that playlist (e.g. "2/25" or "4/50"). Could you maybe provide a screenshot of the problem as you see it?
