Gomox
Hello guys! I hope that somebody can help me out! I've been trying to get my tracks to the same volume. Can anybody give me a quick introduction how to achieve this with Poweramp? Somehow I struggle to get it to work I'm using mp3 files. Greetings,Gomox Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/7895-cant-get-replay-gain-to-work/ Share on other sites
andrewilley
The actual music files need to have gain values embedded within them for this to work, are you sure you have done this? Which program do you recommend for writing those tags? andrewilley
Mp3 Gain should do it, that will add flags to the MP3 files to normalise the files without actually changing the sampled audio quality. As I understand it, you can tell it to work on peak dB levels or on apparent-loudness values. andrewilley
Settings > Audio > Replay Gain > Apply Gain (I'd choose the prevent clipping option). If you're trying to keep relative levels matched over whole albums, select that option for Source, otherwise select Track. I think this will only change the overall gains by maximising the peak value found in each track, rather than making dynamic 'loudness' based adjustments on the fly, but I could be wrong on that.
