heinza Posted April 11, 2015 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Hi, I've bought Poweramp yesterday after a thorough comparison against other music player apps. The version is 2.0.10-build -575-play. I've installed the app on my notepad:Model: CM on rk31boardAndroid-version: 4.4.4Processor: ARMv7 rev 0 (v71)RAM: 1024 MBBuild-No.: CrewRKTablets RK31 CM11 4.4.4v1.2-01.11.2014 I'm very pleased so far with all the features of the app - with one exception: - album art only is displayed in the album list and in the folder list All other lists are without album art. Especially on the player screen no album art shows up. When I open the Info/Tags menue for a song all info is listed correctly, but for album cover it says, for example: 500x500 JPEG embedded album cover (0 Byte) My CD collection is on a USB stick and is played perfectly by Poweramp. When I play my CD collection on my ACER notebook all players (e.g. iTunes, VLC) display album art for every song correctly.I've checked embedded album art for the songs with several other programs (e.g. Mp3tag, iTunes, MP3Cover) and also have changed the size of the JPEG. After erasing the album art cache and re-reading the file to Poweramp the bug was still existing. heinza Posted April 14, 2015 Author Share Posted April 14, 2015 Hi Andre, since copy and paste does not work I only can describe what I found out so far: - in the folder view album art is displayed correctly when there is a file "folder.jpg" file in the folder containing the song files- on the player screen album art is displayed correctly when it is embedded as a PNG file- on the player screen album art is displayed incorrectly when it is embedded as a JPEG file It seems to me that for some unknown reason JPEG cannot be decoded when it is embedded in the tag of a song file.How is JPEG decoded? andrewilley Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 It displays fine for me, both as album art in the Player screen and within the albums/folders/etc list views. The image is a bit on the large size, but nothing that Poweramp shouldn't be able to cope with. Poweramp's Info/Tags display shows 1412x1420 JPEG Embed (542197 bytes). Could you try editing the MP3 file using a tool like TagScanner on a PC, and see if re-saving the file, or saving it with a different piece of clipart inserted, helps? c-tho Posted April 26, 2015 Share Posted April 26, 2015 I'm having a similar problem, but it's with in-folder images, rather than embedded ones: - Folder.jpg gets used as both player and library art- Folder.png gets used only as player art - library art remains blank. In other words, my folders with .png cover files are missing library art, but the player art works fine. I've logged a bug using the Big Reporting Form but idk if those are still monitored.
