Play count settings

Hi,

First let me say I'm a huge fan of the player.

 

Only one feature really bothers me:

The player adds +1 to the play count of every song I start listening, rather than finished listening (Unlike other players).

As we all know, the player count is crucial for automatic playlists like Recently Played or Most Played.

 

At the current state, these playlists are filled with songs that I only shuffeled, and not songs the I actually listened to, from start to finish.

The current state renders the most/recently played playlists completely useless, until you address this feature.

As I don't always finish tracks right to the very end either, I suspect the best solution would be to set a threshold of (for example) 50% of the track must have been played for it to get added to the list.

Either that or let the user choose his preferred option.

 

Anyway, I'd appreciate a developer's comment on that matter, as it's a dealbreaker for me...

hi, I'm willing to buy the full version, but I really need a "most played" list. Unfortunatelly I could not verify is this feature exists in my 15 day trial. Is this feature available?

Hello. I was going to request the same feature, but it seems that somebody has asked for it already.

Since this wasn't implemented yet, can we, as a user, contribute to its development? I don't think this should be to hard.

 

Also, this count increment is somehow similar to the scrolling done for Last.fm. I didn't tested it, but for those who have, did you notice when a track is actually scrobbled (the same as for the most played list at the beginning or at the end)? It would be nice to be able to set the threshold ( percentage or time) for Last.fm scrobbling too.
