playback on phone speaker instead of bluetooth audio

I've been using Poweramp to playback music in my car via bluetooth, it was working just perfectly until the latest update (both app and android has been updated, so I'm not sure which one causing it). Now sometimes after connection the playback is started on the phone's speaker instead of the car audio. In these cases both the telephone and the car shows that the bluetooth connection is ok, I can make calls using the car's controls, audio controls also working. Bluetooth reconnect does not help. After restarting the phone it works fine, playback is using car audio again.

 

Any ideas how to fix this? Many thanks in advance.
