Minimize keyboard aggressively after song selection

I'm not sure if this is an issue with Poweramp or SwiftKey, but I'm sure it's something Poweramp can address.

 

Whenever I search for a song and select it to play, my device's keyboard remains visible, and stays visible until I explicitly get rid of it by pressing the back button or closing the app itself. As soon as a song is selected, the keyboard should go away completely. Currently, the keyboard still stays up after a song is selected, granted without the prediction bar.

 

Not only does the keyboard occupy a large part of my device's screen just by being up, it stays up during the Poweramp lock screen, which is unacceptable. If they keyboard was up when I turned off my screen, it stays up when I unlock my phone and am sent to the widget. If I hit 'back' to minimize the keyboard, I'm sent to my original lock screen. The keyboard covers all the buttons on the lock screen, so changing songs is really annoying.
