flyingdutchman
After a reset, the whole media database will be rebuilt by the android media scanning. Each media item such as mp3 files will be registered again but will have a new key in the database. Your old playlists still have references to the previous keys which no longer exist. The scanning processes the playlists but as the references are no longer valid, it ends up empty. The same occurs when your device's sdcard has a problem and can not be read. After a reseating of the sdcard and the card is readable again, all playlists are empty. If you want to preserve your playlists, you should export them in m3u format. Both Poweramp and my app New Playlist Manager have this functionality.http://www.playlistmanager.webspace.virginmedia.com/npm/
