franconian
The repeat buttons appearing after long pressing the repeat icon at lower left edge of album art are assigned to wrong texts, s. screenshot below. The strings are actually the toast messages which will be displayed after choosing an option. The original short labels of these buttons are not visible. The second button below should carry the label "Liste", the fourth the label "Titel". Both labels are approved in Poweramp's Crowdin project (string names: "repeat_on_short" and "repeat_song_short") but they are not shown anywhere in the app. Screenshot:https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx81gjF-tKgfSFdOVzFQTHdGSlU/view?usp=sharing
andrewilley
I assume this is a translation implementation issue, it's fine in English. Andre
franconian
No, Sir, it isn't fine in English, it's a bug in source code! In English the buttons are also labeled with the toast messages ("Repeat List" and "Repeat Song"). The short strings would be "List" and "Song" and nothing more, as you can see it on the shuffle buttons at the other side! The only difference is that the English terms are shorter and therefore remain readable.
andrewilley
Ah, so you're saying that you'd like the descriptive text shown in the pop-up selector (the box generated by a long-press on the corner icon) to use the exact same wording that's used underneath the corner icon, rather than the first (bold) line of the toast message, which is what it does at the moment. Yes, that would make sense Andre
franconian
I cannot see any text underneath the corner icon, but anyway the buttons of the pop-up selector for shuffle play show "Shuffle Off", "All","Songs", "Lists" and "Songs/Lists". The corresponding buttons in the repeat pop-up selector use strings which aren't designated for them and especially in German these strings are much too long. I mentioned this issue 6 months ago at Crowdin, meanwhile the apk was updated twice, but obviously and unfortunately nobody is interested in. andrewilley
Now I understand the issue you are describing (as I said, it looked OK in English, but that was just by luck) I've forwarded it to the dev. It might not be considered an urgent priority over work on v3.0 though. Andre
